3 Questions that Transformed my Content Strategy

My content strategy for clients Braden Social this year started with 3 questions…

1. What type of content would I publish if I could only use one format for the entire month? The answer was short-form video, or Reels. A quick way to get the message across to the viewer as humanly as possible.

2. Q: What if I could only post one time per month? What would I do? A: Long-form video. We’ll have more to say, but still keep it human and engaging.

3. Q: What if only had one final message to send to my audience? What would that look like? A: Live video. With Live video we can show the passion we have for our brand, and this can also speak to the urgency or excitement about the content.

The answers to these questions led my content strategy for 2025, with video in all forms. Short-form, long-form, and live video.

These video trends are more than just the algorithm, though that’s a big part of it as well. Facebook and Instagram, not to mention TikTok, are prioritizing short-form video. So they’ll show it to more people than other types of content.

What about photos? Well, they’re right behind video in my plans — also my favorite part of social content creation — and still very integral to capturing or freezing a moment.

It was actually Facebook (or Meta) that suggested I go all-in on Reels, after seeing some of hte photography I’d share on my pages.

During one of my regular calls with my Meta rep, he suggested I should create Reels in that same style, candid, engaging, unfiltered.

It was a turning point in my content strategy, and a way to bring my unfiltered photography style to video. Two months in and my content is performing better than ever, and my clients are seeing the results too.
