I realized last night at an event that many people are confused about what I do at Braden Social, my company of 11+ years.
It came to me at Elk Creek Cafe + Aleworks for Networking in the Valley, a combo event from CBICC and HVAB.
When I’m at events, I’ll have a camera in one hand and a beer in the other![]()
So it makes sense that people think that’s all I do.
Last night it was a beer and a smartphone ![]()
(I’ll publish the Reel later today).
But event photography is only a small part of my work with Braden Social, as I produce social marketing content for clients and post on their pages across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google, YouTube, etc, as a full-service social marketing and management agency.
So, if a full-service client has an event, I’ll typically be there to capture the content.
But these event photos are only about 10% of my work. The 90% you don’t see, I’m behind the scenes gathering the content I’ve shot, writing & editing posts, making Reels, scheduling and publishing content, and communicating daily with my 8-12 clients across food & beverage, hospitality, finance, landscaping and construction, tourism, and attractions. Then, I monitor and respond to comments, messages, and reviews and run ads across Facebook and Instagram.
It’s easy to think that after 11 years, everyone knows what I do. But, like I tell my clients, “It’s hard to read the label when you’re inside the bottle.” So it’s important to find out what people on the outside think of you and your brand.
